Like previous shoots, I scheduled a session at a photography studio I frequently use. On the day of the shoot plans fell through and I was unable to utilize the space. Not wanting to let an opportunity to shoot one of my most [daring] and [brilliantly amazing] friends, we decided to find another location. As we drove towards the new location we spotted a bold asiatic artwork on the wall of an abandoned corner store.

It was the first week of January and it had to be one of the coldest days in the city. [Regardless], almost simultaneously we knew it was something worth capturing in our shots. As though the excitement of [creating] something beautiful burned hot in our spirits, we were allowed to forget or ignore the harshness of the cold brisk wind, but not too long after we were quickly reminded. With crippling, stiff fingers and shivering, rigid limbs we captured that moment and then ran frantically back to the car.
