About Elon Blu

A Little Bit On How Elon Blu Came About // By Qamra Clarke, Founder

After being natural for almost 10 years and struggling with the daily maintenance and growth of my tightly coiled hair strands, I began introducing my hair to products with simpler ingredients created in my kitchen and hair styles with low manipulation, much like plaits and buns. These changes made a noticeable difference in the look and feel of my hair and was the start to a simplified hair system that I knew I wanted to share with others.

Creating healthier hair products and manipulating my hair less wasn’t enough for me however. I knew I needed to take it a step further. On days that I had little time to style my hair, but preferred to wear loose hair, I would wear wigs with the purpose of preserving and protecting my hair underneath. With the density of my hair texture however, the wigs I bought were often ill fit for my head size and uncomfortable, leaving me to alter the wigs in order to wear it. I decided one day to create my own wig with my head size in mind and found that I had created a wig that could fit all head sizes.

In 2016 I founded Elon BLU which includes a packaged hair care system of both natural products and wigs for women who struggle with the daily maintenance of their coiled hair texture. This system allows women to grow out their hair discretely while maintaining its health through nourishment of natural ingredients and protective styling.

My greatest passion has absolutely nothing to do with the products I sell or the company I started. I simply have an innate desire for sharing knowledge and the positive experiences I’ve gained over the years. As I grow, I believe it is my responsibility to share what I've learn with others so that they may share their own truth with the world.

Much Love,

Qam
